I have some news to tell you and i am sorry to tell you, i told a few
Scandinavians and I want to be sure that all our family around the world
knows it from us.
On saturday a tragedy occurred to us....Igors wife, Magalena Gorewicz was
killed in a car crash near Krakow, Poland.... around midday she was a
passenger in the rear of a car driven by one of our men when a speeding car
in the opposite direction came at them on collision course, impact was
unavoidable and after attempting to slow or avoid collision our driver was
forced to take evasive action by leaving the road, the car hit a drainage
channel and overturned, impacting the roof. She was killed instantly, we are
waiting for an autopsy report, almost certainly a broken neck was suffered.
Three others in the car escaped with minor injuries and we are thankful to
have only lost one.
Official details will follow... Igor is handling the situation admirably
well, we are with him 24 hrs a day, he has us, you and 2 big families.
An open funeral will take place in Szczecin near Wolin possibly as early as
friday, many people wish to pay their last respects personally, we
acknowlegde this and respect well-wishers who are able to attend, for those
that cannot, we are discussing 'lasting alternatives' where many people may
pay their respects from a distance
